TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
I believe good teaching is 1/4 preparation and 3/4 acting.
Every student has the capability to be their own shining star and their character should be nourished. I strive to create an environment that is loving and energized. My classroom and stage are dynamic and action oriented. Students and audiences are encouraged to experiment, and then integrate successful ideas into their knowledge base through reflection, practice, discussion, creation and writing. Humor, structure, color, clarity and enthusiasm are characteristics of my teaching and performance style.
As a Christian artist who believes in God and truth, I am deeply rooted in the belief that we, as artists, have the power to make a profound impact on society. I firmly believe that artists have the unique responsibility to spark critical thinking and challenge assumptions to effect meaningful change. I actively encourage an multidisciplinary approach, aiming to inspire future intellectuals to explore multiple disciplines with an open heart and a spirit of curiosity.
I am not a teacher nor performer, but an awakener.
